Anybody else having problems with them? I seem to be losing some letters... as in, "leftover" messages in the inbox gone during the next login.

umm I have notced that. I just log out and login which takes FOREVER. :(

Told everyone they were having problems. Can't handle the load.

Anyone offering 100megs of email space definately won't be able to handle the abuse/load. I don't expect to see them get any better unless they change the service they're giving to something more reasonable.

RMM v2.0.... hmmm, hope this will improve things. They DID mention that they were upgrading...

And it's funny too. The messages I kept I've never seen again, but I did get back an old letter I deleted a few weeks ago.

Runbox was always fast for me

About Runbox

I use them, and they just upgraded, which to me at least has been a huge improvement in terms of speed etc. And they store sent mail now, luckily! Yeah, there are some bugs, but I've never lost any mails or anything. I also get some of my email on a non-WAP cell phone through forwarding it using SMS.

Wow, just went to look and that's a whole lot better. Better interface, too. Do you think this service can make it? They're giving away an awful lot and not getting anything back for it at the moment.

I've enquired about that, and they power and design email for other sites, apparently. Rather than relying on ads. Which is nice! :)

From what I've seen so far, I don't think they support HTML mail yet. Since this is such a common feature, it's a shame that they don't support it.

Since I suggested Runbox in the first place, I thought I should reply too.

When I first signed up it was really fast.
After posting here the speed seem to drop rather quick ;-)
But at least this forced them to upgrade.

No its fast. No super fast like my isp pop email. But very reasonable none the less. I still can't get sent messages to store. Maybee its an option that I havent seen. But overall its a good service which I hope will only get better. And to help this I sent runbox an email outlining so features in the webmail I think could improve it.

I use it for an email mailing list adress on which I get approx 180 emails per day and send upwards of 25. I'm happy now. I just hope they can keep selling there email to other businesses.

Oh yeah, they do suppoert HTML email. It just comes as an attachement and opens in a new browser when clicked.

You need to set the Save sent mail option under Preferences to "Yes". The non-inline HTML has to do with security concerns, or something...?

Ahhh, I see it now. You'd think that it would be default as it is with just about every other free email account. Its not like you haven't got the space to spare ;-)

The prob with inline HTML messages are that they could easily carry a virus which could enter the runbox system. By having the browser handle the code they decrease the risk. Anyways who needs HTML email anyways? HTML is for the web, keep it there. ASCII all the way.

You see, I like HTML mail. It provides nice formatting and many newsletters use HTML mail. I want to read these newsletters quickly without clicking on the mail twice (To read the email, then clicking to get the HTML version).

Hmm... I don't seem to see the attachment in the webmail version of Runbox. Therefore, in my view, they don't support it.

Of course they support Attachments...

The HTML email message is just a plain text message with all the HTML tags removed. And there is no attachment.
