Hello, I am new here, I just found freewebspace.net.

Anyway I was browsing the boards and found this thread. All I can say is WOW! I just want to know about the dedicated thing. Can you give me more info? Also when will this service be up? And if you DO offer MySQL can you please put MyODBC drivers on your webserver(s) so I can connect to my database with ASP.

Also I would love to beta test (I am VERY good with computers, I actually have my own server at home, its a 1.3 GHZ AMD Athlon with 256 MB RAM. With Windows 2000 Advanced Server). Please email at general_zalbag@hotmail.com.
 
Hey guys! We all know that we all are going to sign up for the service if it comes up. Why all of us form a beta tester group to help out Datablocks and Netcabins? I mean if we can why not help em?

Because finally if it succeeds its going to be great and if it doesn't it'll be good experience for us guys! What do you say?

If some brand new host was to offer this, then your assumption might be correct. But Datablocks and NetCabins have been around for some time, and they have experience... so we have to trust that they know what they're doing.
 
Trusting someone simply because they have been around for a while is nto a smart thing... you should trust soemone when they have prooven themselves trust worthy (reliabile, honest, etc...).

While I know nothing of datablocks and hardly believe that they will do as well as they say, I have known Tom for a few years although not very well. I know he worked hard to make his hosting work and I have no doubt that he will do so in the future.

multiple accounts and similar abuse is bad for the wellbeing of their business! :mad:
 
You wouldn't need mul;tiple accounts as far as I know. Coz if tyhey are gicing 500 mb diskspace why would any one need any more space?

Sure you can't judge a fwp by its time of existance, but what I'm trying to say is that since they've been around for a while, that must mean that they had things working out, and they definitely have lots of experience.

Think what you will -- I'm trusting them, and I sincerely hope that everything will turn out right. :)
 
Why else would you think that I'd be willing to defend for them?! :D (just kidding lah.....)

Cool.Datablocks, can you enable a setting that BETA testers have 10MB file size limits? I need to store mIRC Scripts etc...

We should all become BETA testers to improve their service to prevent downtime!*Cheers!*
