Very true. He's also been well known to manipulate his countries media in order to manipulate his people. If he didn't manipulate people how else do you think he gets away with using women and children as bomb shields? He simply doesn't let this information get out in Iraq. No other leader would ever get away with using women and children as human shields.
The only time that I've heard of them having problems was during testing phases. The last time I've heard of an issue is when they launched one and before it could hit their target a train went flying by and took the impact. It was a bad incident but if you looked at the guidance systems on them they are nothing short of incredible.
It's not as though the US attacked a country that wasn't doing anything wrong. Iraq was shooting at their air crafts so they had to eliminate the threat. Opinions would change if Iraq had killed a few of the American and British pilots when they were shooting at the planes.

The Royal Canadian Navy has just received some old submarines that the UK was going to get rid of. And the best part is that we didn't even pay for them. We gave the Brits some use of our "training facilities".
One time when I went camping, there was a military base nearby, and some Germans were testing out their artillery. It's like a thunderstrom without the rain, and the fear of being hit by a missile instead of a lightning bolt.
We don't even have soldiers. They are "Peace Keepers". Good thing the US would save our ass in a war.

Gayowulf, everyone seems to say this until something bad happens. When there is a terrorist attack and you lose a family member you would go in a rage and complain that the government should have done something to prevent it. It's called preventative action and is needed. To relate it to computers; Why buy a virus scanning program? Usually it's to try and prevent your computer from getting a virus in the future. Well you could have used that money and donated it to the Red Cross or another organization that will participate in foreign aid.
This was not a war. It was a military attack but far from the war as Iraq basically could not attack back. I also believe that if the US or another country involved with this attack intentionally injured women or children that there would be a large riot / movement to remove any political power they have. It's very unlikely to happen but it really can't be proved either way because Iraq would never let an independent 3rd party perform an autopsy.
I don't think it'll lead to a war but I'd bet that we attack Iraq again.
