If you are looking for full ASP, windows based hosting is the best choice however cPanel is not compatible with windows OS at the moment.

the only alternative is to have someone that does have a linux or unix box install - SunOne ASP (formally known as ChiliSoftASP).

There is always Apache::ASP however it may not give you everything you require for asp.

Also: a webhost with ChilliASP is rare, as it is quite expensive.

Apache ASP is a totally different language to the standard ASP vB Script, so it would just be like learning a new language (i think Apache ASP only compiles perl code, but im not sure).

What Apache::ASP does is it converts the asp script into a perl script and runs it as a perl module.

ah, I see, does ChilliASP run in a similar way, or is that an actual compiler itself?

Chilisoft is actually run pretty much the same as Windows ASP.

You shouldn't see much of a difference between the two.
