You need bandwidth so I need you!

That just seems like a waste of everyones time. I mean would you like to download something 1.2GBs just to find out it's nothing but trash. Now I wouldn't mind hosting 1.2GBs of something useful and legal.
 
hostod, after ur hosting services are released to public, will our free accounts stil b active ?
 
Surfz pretty much said it all on why I have 2 accounts.

As for beta accounts staying open, it's still undecided. At the very least we will help everyone make back ups and upload them to there new account.

emailed two new accounts out.
 
hostod, may I ask a question? After you open the site for public use/purchase, are our hostings still free? if yes, free for how long? if no, will we get any (huge) discount to buy your paid hosting, if we want to keep hosting our site in your place?
 
The entire point for hostod.com is to give free hosting, that's not going to change. In fact I was talking to my "co-admin" and I think it's safe to say we are going to keep all the beta accounts active forever, but I'm sorry to say to the people we are giving 100GB+ a month of bandwidth will need to buy upgrades to keep that much when we open. Everyone will more then likely end up with our most basic plan until they apply (one way or another) for more space/bandwidth.

98.2%+ up time now, that's .2 more then last time :biggrin2:

We don't have any plans set in stone yet. I'd say it should include couple hundred megabytes of space and a few GBs of bandwidth. May not be as much as some of the oversellers on this site but since we allow downloads and such (ie really let you use the space and bandwidth we give) there shouldn't be a problem for most people, and If you want more we will allow you to upgrade. The most important thing will be that you don't have to pay anything to do most upgrades.

Remember hostod.com is a good source for info as it comes.
 
Well my money making forum is now up again, I'm going to start getting people to come back.

Rabid I love how fast your new server is.

I've used 122GBs of bandwidth and counting and everything is still smooth. Your saving me a lot of money on hosting!

If your talking about what our website says? If so then understand we are still getting it up and working things out. On top of that it says $.99 for 20GBs and not $.20 (just pointing that out).

As for gourmets site, I'll leave that to him.
 
Ok, our server trouble is over (for now) and we are back online. I'm also happy to say we now have fantastico installed (if you get any errors please email me).

If you need your account recreated please email me at hostod@gmail.com or go to our new phpbb forum http://hostod.com/forums. Keep in mind we are still beta testing so you don't have to do any "special" posting or the like. Just let me know one way or the other and I'll set you an account up (posting here maybe the slowest way though).

Gayble took my money and ran like a little (cough) something. So I'm using his website until I get my new one made (soon).

I can't believe gayble turned out to be just like everyone else. He really had me going with "we'll be selling servers soon" "would you give a down payment". I've already gotten paypal involved, other then that I just have to wait.

hrrr.....

Anyways, I found a new server company.
