I was think abt creating a Image file hosting site such as imageshack. But I wonder how to earn profit from it with no benefits. The only way they can make money is from google ads. But the question is does those visitors click those ads ? And many ppl are just linking those image directly, so how do they make $$ from it ?

Basicly, for the first few months you don't. You SPEND money on it.

If you want to make money on a free image hosting service, buy text links linking to your site for $5/month on differant sites. After you have done that, in 2 months time, your site should have a nice PR, meaning you can sell text links for $5/month (As many as you want!) and also people will buy banner ad's for about $15/month if you have allot of visitors.

If your looking to start an image host, you will HAVE to spend at least $40 on adverting to get in traffic, and after a few months you will have traffic and cash

Supply your users with thumnailed versions of their images and HTML and BBCODE for them that link to a page on your site displaying the image with ads around it.
