kb3mol

New Member
I need a host here is what I need:

IT MUST BE WINDOWS
50 MB Space or More
500 MB Bandwidth
Must support: PHP, ASP, and ASP.net, because I am going to be learning ASP, and I need somewhere to test it.
Control Panel: Zpanel, Helm, whatever, as long as it has something.
Edit: I will need MSSQL, Thanks

Thanks,

I truly wish you the best of luck on that request ...

I'm not going to go into a long worded lecture on the topic but I willl say
that Windows hosts are few in number these days and those still supporting
ASP or ASP.NET are even fewer in number since for all practical purposes,
the language is pretty much now dead with very limited support for it other
than a few small bubbles still floating out there here and there.

These days, finding ASP or ASP.NET hosting is usually a bit of challange and
finding that under FREE hosting is even more difficult if not near impossible.

I had a list of about 20 about six months ago but all the ones on my list
have either since discontinued ASP support or have folded completely.

I think there should be 1 or 2 free hosts or so left that support ASP or ASP.NET
so hopefully maybe someone from those will see your post.

Just a personal suggestion, you might be better off installing the personal IIS
server on on your own computer at home and just run a local test environment.

I signed up for one, but I do not like it, too many flash ads.
Unfortunately you may not have much options so might have to go with that one.

Really though your best bet may be my earlier suggestion to run a local
test server on your own computer. The personal edition of the IIS server
comes with windows and everything else you need can be downloaded
directly from Microsoft's web site.

Free with MS-SQL :) Any idea the cost of MS-SQL ? This costs serious money even at the MS SPLA costs.

As you're stated intention is to learn, then you shouldn't really be doing this on a production box. Build a test system at home. You can install SQL-Express 2005 & IIS on your local PC (you can get trial versions of Windows 2003 from MS if needed)
