I am really fed up with google indexing my domain, and sites. I was wondering if there was a PHP script, or a CGI script that would block the googlebot from doing anything to my site. I don't submit it, and it's pissing me off.

I use metatags, but obviously they do not work. I read about the having a robot.txt file, but I am not sure how to do that.

:confused2

Just create a blank robot.txt and place it in your root folder.

Btw, why don't you want your site indexed? I always, for 2+ years, tried to get mine. :crysad:

Daniel,

I don't want my site indexed, because way, way back in the day I would get these freaky hits, and major harrassment. Google just irks me anyway.

Thanks for the robot info. :)

Unless your running some terrorist site or something, than there is no reason why you should get harassed.

Oh I'm not, but I've written some personal things and gotten stuff like "well, that's what you deserve" and just immature crap. I'm just not in the mood for it, you know?

me too, about 3 years already

I can understand your problem, there are some real arses on the internet (many appear to be here?) I think somewhere within the google site there should be something to remove your site from there listing.

As for those of you who can't get your site listed in it, all you need is links from other sites which already get crawled :). My site got listed in google easily after I posted to a very popular discussion list :)
