hi all ,

I see mention through these forums and elsewhere of PR this and PR that web sites. I assume there is a way to check what PR rating your site is, but what do I need to do?

What does PR relate too?

PR is an algorithm used by google to rank sites as per their popularity and needs addressed. More people linking to a site, means it has some purpose and is better ranked than one with lesser people linking.

Its more about linking and all.

Seriously, PageRank is one measurement Google makes of links pointing
to a page. It's not the only way they evaluate links, and it's far from
the most important element in their ranking algorithms. The term is a
Google trademark. Too much is made of it because they made the marketing
decision to include a score derived from it on their toolbar, which has
many people convinced it must be very important.

You can also install the Google Toolbar on your browser which will display the PR of every site you visit. PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. The higher the PageRank the better it is.
