I typo'd in httpd.conf via VI Editor... took down apache for 30 minutes..

restored a backup of httpd.conf and it had invalid users in it...

httpd wouldn't start.

then the box locked up... I had to reboot it...

messed up the WHM httpd.conf rollback status (dunno why)

Just re-hand-typed httpd.conf.

it's midnite EST.... taking a nap.

See you all in 5 hours.

Well, it all works now. Had that happen a few times, except it was with php.ini and my.conf, along with a few other config files.

24 hours later a DDoS attack. I'm batting 1000. Still better than breaking a my.conf .... **bows to you
 
lol. Someone just doesn't like you, huh? Breaking the my wasn't really that bad, had a backup. Well, it was a 6 month old backup from an earlier version of all software. (Apache 1.3, PHP 4, MySQL 4.1, old Perl, etc) So it didn't really work.

Oh how I love 36 hour programming marathons.

But man. Hand-coding the httpd? That's hell right there.

I was drinking a glass of water and spilled a little bit on my carpet. Then, get this, my carpet was slightly damp for 30 MIN!!!!! I shiver just thinking about it....
 
I broke my wrist half a year ago, and I went in for a 6 month checkup, and the doctor told me that they have to set it again because they screwed up the first two times.

Never go to an orthopedist in Rochester, NY. He was not a fun guy to deal with. He was mad because I woke him up at 10 at night.
 
Now you see, if you would have said that it bled and you have hemophilia and you went white and almost passed out, it would have been a good story. You missed it, Mr. Bush. So close.
