How do you block the sun? It is too big and too hot.
Has anyone noticed yet that China is the dirtiest country in the world...yet the US gets blamed for the most emissions? China has hardly any emissions controls.
Seriously though, I agree, China and Russia are big polluters alongside the US.
China ratified the Kyoto Protocol and the US Haven't. Chinese emissions have dropped in the last decade, but US emissions have risen. Currently, the US emits almost twice as much greenhouse gas as China.
China is making an effort to improve the situation. The US has it's thumbs up it's arse.
Russia has also ratified Kyoto like China has. If you put together Chinese and Russian emissions, the US would still beat them.
And once again, they are actually doing something about it, the US is doing nothing.
The government acts like it wants to do something, but the emissions just keep on rising.
Why don't you read, we may produce the most, but China is second and is going to take over as first.
In short, if you read close, you'll see although they signed the Kyoto Protocol, they DON'T have to meet the part where they reduce emissions to below 1990 levels. Why?
This would hurt their crippled communist economy.
Again, its all a plot to get the developed nations out of the world power status by forcing them to pay trillions of $$$ to reduce emissions, while "undeveloped" countries use the cheaper, high emissions technologies that pushes them ahead at a much more rapid rate.
Why does the UN do this? Easy. The UN is one giant assembly of communist pigs not fit to eat off the floor of the grimiest dungeons in all of medieval Europe. They want the developed countries to share their wealth with the poor to get them a leg up. So lets start with burying them in debt.
Go spend a few days in front of Stalin.
I can't believe you are so naive as to think Communism works. China's people aren't rich. More than half live in poverty. Have you seen what it takes to get a car over there?
Just because they aren't developed, doesn't mean they shouldn't follow regulations.
To impose regulations and be fair to everyone it will have to work like this.
First: ALL countries must comply to the same extent.
Second: ALL countries must foot their own bill, and if that means China needs a few trillion to get it done, well they got a lot of work to do.
third: They can't use the slave labor they like to use, the laborers must be paid a decent paycheck with insurance for the dangerous work it involves.
As for global warming. Throughout it's history this world has frozen, heated up, frozen, heated up, etc. We are in one of those warming periods. Humans did not "bring" the warming. On the other hand though, maybe we are helping it to happen a fraction faster. No matter what, it's still coming.
Do we sit by and do nothing? If we have no choice, yes. Problem is, we dont have the money because we are in a trillion dollar war against people who will die out just like we will of the same cause.
What statistical report? I don't recollect presenting any reports of any nature.
And yes, China IS trying to do something about it, they have very recently signed a deal with our government, to fund and conduct research into how it's possible to burn coal in more efficient and cleaner ways, and other methods of making it cleaner.
What I hate about the US most in this regard is the amount of money they spend on "defense", compared to how much they spend on global warming. It's just ridiculous.
Let explain something, yes countries could cut off the U.S. and hurt the U.S. There's a problem with that. What happens when you cut off your biggest customer? They get another supplier, and you go broke. Now that you know that, name a single country that would ever cut off the U.S.?

If we CAN do something, then we should. At the very least put up a bunch of mirrors and redirect the heat to the Middle East so we quickly end the war, then we can concentrate on global warming. My thought on it though is that we have all this heat coming in from the sun..... let me rephrase, we have all this ENERGY coming in from the sun. Get the idea? Rather than blocking it, we should find ways to "absorb & use" it. Place tons of energy panels somewhere to start absorbing rays. Figure out ways to transform the heat in the air to usable energy. Hell I dont know. If there really is a hole in the ozone, putting a giant fan up there to suck out our heat is a better idea than putting up a bunch of mirrors..

China's main aim is to keep economic growth at the same level as it is today, I agree that if China suddenly decide to support the fight against Global Warming, it will hurt their economy greatly.
Joking aside, I have always felt that global warming was natural and it's the Earth's way of resetting itself. Humans may have caused it to move along faster but their is nothing we can do, civilizations don't last forever!
 Yup.

Sorry that I haven't added anything to my blog since it opened. I am not exactly a blogger type person, however I'm trying to get in to it so I can get a bigger audience of people interested in my blog.
I suppose this topic will be: Global Warming
No, this is not one of those every day Global Warming discussions... I want to hear what YOU think.
My opinion:
Over the thousands of years that we've existed on this planet we call Earth. Over the years new technologies has been discovered. So has pollution.
There have been a few ice ages, at least that's what evidence shows. After the Ice age was over, the Earth warmed up. So, many theories are that this is just another cooling down process which may cause violent storms, however that's life. I tend to be leaning towards the cooling down theory. How could it be some other cause, like us Humans causing it? It just started showing effects now.
The media is making such a big deal out of it now because of the recent storms. Some of it might be just to make money off of the damage that has happened around here through fundraising.... and some of it could be true.
Please let me know what you think!
