Since there is a lot of talk about Windows right now, I thought I'd make my own post :p.

What versions of Windows have you used? Which did you like best?

    I'll start;

    Windows 95
    Windows ME
    Windows XP (Favourite)
    Windows Vista
    Windows 7 (Second Favourite)

    :)

    Windows 3.11
    Windows 95 (the last one)
    Windows NT4
    Windows 98SE
    Windows ME
    Windows 2000
    Windows XP
    Windows Vista

My favorite of all of them is XP. Small(ish) memory footprint and great hardware support, by SP3 it was finally somewhat mature as an OS. I'll forgive the PlaySkool colors for that.

I've been using Linux full time since before Vista came out, so I don't use it anymore except on other peoples computers and at workstations.

Over last 5 years since I am using computer, I have used all the versions of windows.
    Mostly I used following:

    Windows XP Professional
    Windows Vista Ultimate
    Windows 7 Ultimate

Windows Xp is most compatible and easy and Windows 7 is most advanced and useful.

    Regards!

    Win 98
    Win2000
    WinXP

I deliberately skip every couple generations of Windows because I like to keep a stable setup. I almost got Win7, but it still feels too early on the heels of the "Good Enough" standard of XP, so I'll wait for Win8.
