Looks like you could only do that wearing socks (no shoes). Which means EVERYONE would have to be only wearing socks otherwise someone would get stepped on. This seems like a logistical nightmare and also a little gross. I consider this dance: terrible.

What they usually do is put duct tape on the bottom of the shoe, so that you can slide easily and such.

That shuffle has been around since as far back as I can remember watching all the kids do it at the teen discos I went to when I was a kid.
