http://www.com-2.net offers free pop accounts at your domain with (I think) smtp, but there's no webmail available (unless you set up a pop-checking script yourself). You can't use it to provide accounts to people unless you set them up yourself, and the checking is quite slow (for me).

for Windows, I'm running on a stonage PC at the moment (P166MMX, 32MB RAM) so need something that will load quickly and just hang in the background whilst I surf etc and not slow down the PC (too much). I've tried a couple, but they've all been pretty poor. Windows media player is the worst...
