Hello Community,

I haven't had to post any thing like this for a few years now.

The reason for this post is Steve, owner of MidWestHosting was paid $100 dollars down to take an psd slice and code it to allow for easy editing, and have an login that auto logged into the forum board for us.

I had sent the funds, it took him a few days which was fine, as there were hick-ups such as him needing the fonts which took some time.

He had informed me it would take 1 1/2 week to build the site and forum board. A total cost of $200 USD.

He finished the site, however never sent, and then started the forum board, he then for some who recalled tried to find a coder here on the forum board.. well that didn't work. (Note Steve, stop looking, stop all that work, will explain further down).

We are now hitting 2 weeks for this project, and he didn't have the forum board done, I have now gone to iiPanel who is being more then helpful allowing me to be in debt with them to get this done, and pay them back the amount at an later date, which I would have never thought was possible from anyone.

Anyways, Steve for the last 3 days is claiming to have had an PC crash, however he will not send the files or ftp access to me. I don't see how this changes you sending information to me which I already paid for.

This is a last attempt, on Sunday, June 3th 2007, Steve if no site files are sent and working 100% I will file a charge-back. This charge-back will be placed by 12PM EST, which means by Tuesday the funds will be on there way back to me.

Again, please Steve, stop working on our forum board I don't want that service from you, send the site files to me, then removal all files off your site etc.

I will leave this open for the public to see, and would ask mods to set a time line for a response and resolution. Mods and community members any questions regarding this feel free to post.

Also anyone ever needing something hosting/coding speak to iiPanel they are more then helpful.

For those who wonder why I am posting, it is simple, Steve and his "team" are slow, and unreliable, when you qoute someone a time you meet it, not come up with bad qoutes.

Okay an update for all you:

He must have heard about this, he sent me an site that was coded, see it at http://fading-art.com/

However it isn't near completed, the login boxes for v-bulletin don't work, there are errors on the page, and there are no sections for text let alone set to the correct fonts. Not to mention that I cannot remove an image to change the template to make a subpage as I should.

I also asked for it to be centered but it wasn't. I am giving him till Sunday to fix these mistakes or I will still file the complaint.

Again do not trust these people, they cannot do a job they say they can. Steve was a good guy at one time, or so I thought, however this 2 week problem has proved it differently.

Note: Anyone that can do these touch ups, for me, at little to no cost would be greatly appreciated. I have no funds until I file the charge-back, in the event that Steve doesn't fix his mistakes.

EDIT: I figured out a way to work around the crap that Steve did for the subpages, but still text etc isn't set correctly, I have to redo all his mistakes.

Update:

Steve claimed everything was fine, until I proved him wrong again, now he says that he will fix it.. but wont tell me how long it will take.

A Month has passed since I sent him the payment, and still not 100% done.
 
ive talked to him many times and explained the problem,i dont have a pc now im on my phone i can respond or even get on msn but cant send files from my phone can i?I went to my dads and sent the site over and he claimed i didnt code it right that the login system dont work but works fine for me i coded it and checked it,The deal was $300 for all then he changed it to $200.00 i dont think anyone would even code this Vb skin for $200.00 but i said i would even though he lied about it i dont care about the money but dont slander my name if you can find someone to code that for $100.00 good luck.For now i dont have a pc search google for team mobile side kick 3 that is what I am on so yes i can get onlline but that is as far as it goes
 
I think there is more of a cat and mouse chase here. Like, I don't see anyone proving the other one wrong.
I had a look at the site and, although it's not finished, I don't see anything else wrong with it to be honest.
The Register link doesn't work. But the URL ends in # which may mean that you must modify the link yourself? Regarding the login, there's no way of non-members like myself to know if it works or not. And, I am not registering just to see if it does or not.

Unless one or the other can prove the other wrong, this thread is pointless IMHO.
