Arent the mails stored in everyone.net?

Do you mean the MX profile?

MX Record hostname: sitemail.everyone.net
Preference Value: 0
Action: sitemail.everyone.net

I recommend you not use everyone and bigmailbox.

Yes, it indeed provides free services for you to offer user@yourdomain.com. But recently, both of them add popups to your site. Whenever you login, boom, a big popup is there waiting for you.

And, if the service get popular, you will get a lot of spammers, then you get a lot of complaints from hosting companies and the spam haters.

In short, don't use it.

Do you want to offer free email service, or just want to use several accounts by yourself?

Actually Everyone.net's is a "pop-behind".

Everyone.net is an excellent free email provider that I've been using for about a year and a half now. True they have alot of ads, but that's how you "pay" for it. I'd say it's worth it. They provide good services, nice speed, and little downtime. If you don't like the ads, you can pay to get rid of them. http://www.everyone.net/main/html/email_tour.html Plus, not only do you get rid of all ads, you can replace them with your own!

I would like to have a catch-all-email forward of a domain to a free-email-provider for myself like mydomain.com and zoneedit.com offer. I get crazy with mydomain.com (which would be fine with the service they offer) and eu.org, since *all 4* mydomain.com's dns-server don't work all the time and eu.org *doesn't act* when the dns-servers are not preconfigured, which mydomain did after I requested it. But unfortunately ns2, ns3 and ns4 don't work *all* the time and eu.org works slow. So there is also no chance to use ns1 and ns3 or another combination, when dns is modified, because a day later maybe ns1 and ns4 works.

zoneedit.com is limited in bandwidth. So maybe there is another service which I could use???

I have over 2000 users on both BMB and every1. My users are very unhappy about the popups and popbehinds. It is getting pretty nasty. Its as if they are competing to see who can have the most advertising. BMB just recenlty added a tag to your email. I dont know if its still there or not but damn its nasty.

It looks like all the advertising supported free services are really ramping up the ads in an effort to survive. It's like bravenet today compared to long ago (ad-wise, that is).

everyone mail PRO version

Got screwed over when CANBOX.com went broke and all my users lost their @myname.com. They gave NO warning, so none of us could even grab our mail first.

Now I am nervous about finding new provider. I need a robust pay service.....not freebie banner enriched.

Does anybody have any experience with everyone.net and their pay email program? Pricing is pretty good, but who knows if they are a healthy company that will last through this cyber downsizing??

I need a third party, reliable company to serve @myname.com to all of my lucky users.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Michael

email service options

Thanks Chicken for you reply.

I have googled out bit2bytes.com; chek.com; oemmail.com; and virtualplus.com

I will add netmongol.com and figure out the differences.

Thanks.

If anyone has any experiences....good or bad.....related to a pay for use "@yourdomain.com" email system, please let me know. I am NOT needing a free one.

Great !!

The problem with the free ones, as I see it, is that many of them *were* actually pretty good. Everyone.net as an example. But the advertising crunch seems to have forced them to be more aggressive, and now I don't think I could subject people to everyone.net's service. So, reliability issues and questions aside, I am leary of any free service in some regards.

They gotta make a buck, and I understand that.

I have a domain with emeisp and if i were to put my mx profile to everyone mail service, then the webmaster@mydomain.com which this emaill address is mine will also need to be everyone.net's mail rite? i don't want my mail to be everyone.net's mail!

Well, if you outsource it like this then yes, this is what happens. You can't pick and choose email addresses. However, you could set up the address in your everyone.net account and forward the mail to your pop box.

Usually this would work as:

YOURpopBOXusername@server.name.com

-this may or may not work depending on how the server is set up.

Well, I thought you couold and it has been a bit since I've logged into my everyone.net cp. I'll believe you if you say you can't, and if so, you are SOL yes. :( sorry.

@yourdomain

I am considering everyone.net; bit2bytes.com; chek.com; oemmail.com; netmongol.com; and virtualplus.com
