FWS Theme?

why is it i see the custom FWS theme when i try to go to certain parts of the forum, but, i have the classic vB3 skin for my settings? this happens whenever i go to the free hosting request section, but, if i click new post after that, it goes back to the vB skin. :S it is really sort of annoying.
 
I have no solution to this at the moment. That section is sponsored and only one skin can be forced on a forum section. If there's any solution to solve this please let me know.
 
So why not just change the forced skin to that one? Or am I missing something?

Just went to the Free Request section. The skin doesn't change for me.
 
Keagle, we have 2 skins, the old one and the new one. One needs to be forced to that section to be fair to the advertiser. I have chosen the new one as that is the one we use as default. Free request section is sponsored and have the new skin forced.
 
Ohhh! I mis-read Justin's original post, apologies. I thought he said it reverted to the old theme when he went into it, rather than he's using the old theme and going to the new one. Thanks for clearing that up!

Yeah I find that annoying too. I am more comfortable with the old one, as bits are missing with the new one.
 
I found it annoying as well because I was more comfy with the old skin. I am not a fan of the new one. No offense, I think it's a great design. Just not for me. But I have chosen the new skin because of that issue.
 
i dont like how the top nav is re-ordered, and i dont like that the drop down menu is not there to switch between themes for me for some reason. otherwise, i might consider using it for a while to see how i like it, but, i would want to be able to switch back to the old one if i chose to.
 
You can switch back to the old skin from the bottom of the frontpage in the new skin.

There will likely not be any fixed width version.
 
Paid requests now gos to your new theme too..
I dont really get your point at all, sorry But you could add the sponsores to the other theme too and not force any theme at all.. If you can add the sponsores to one theme Im sure you could do it to the other as well...
Is my idea impossible? I really dont know much about themes and how they work but Im guessing your adding the ad's in the theme.

I try to keep out of them forums now anyway so what ever it dont bother me to much! lol Im even starting to get used to the new theme abit it dont hurt my eyes anymore

As internalx mentioned.

It may be little additional work for Peo but the only solution is to force the advertisements on both skins.
 
Apparently I'm not good at explaining. I'll try again:

Only one style can be forced to one forum section. As you can see you can't choose any style with a sponsored ad. Those are all hidden as you shouldn't be able to choose those styles. You can only choose the 2 styles with the google ads, the new one and the old one. That means I can't force 2 different templates to the same forum section. Only one.
 
ah, i see. i have a 19" and it looks fine, but, mine is more square, and not a wide screen. maybe that is why.
 
We've never had a fixed width for the forum. If the designer have the extra time to do that, fine, but I won't demand it. You can resize the browser window instead. I'm sure there are many other sites you visit without fixed width.

The width is on currently 100%. Hint why it's on the ends of my screen. Only a suggestion.

Get a smaller screen.. who needs a 21 anyway :wave:
LOL I use a 19 and love it.. wouldnt get anything bigger or smaller ever.. this one is just rightttttttttttt

I got this too but couldn't you just also place the advert onto the new skin also. Wouldn't that solve the problem?

BTW i like the new skin. Its nice and bright
