Is my host on Rackshack?

There on at&t bandwidth which is high quality. There not on rackshack.

You could allways take a wild stab and just ask them where they have there servers mosts hosts will tell you.
 
i can ask them, i just thought it would be better to ask it here since it's not an urgent question

So, this means that my host, rcthost.com, is connected to mfnx.net and he.net. How good are they?

notnamed, :topic: it means that your provider either leases or colocates servers in the Hurricane Electric data center. Could be direct through HE, or through another provider. I have a server at HE (provided by fastservers.net) and I have no problems. Things seem pretty good.

You should really call up your isp about that second and third hop of yours. :whatthe:
 
Daniel: Um, was that meant to be sarcastic? I removed it myself, the nameservers the IP addresses resolve to give out my geographical location, so I removed them...

No, he was quite serious, and he wasn't referring to the IP.

1500ms on a hop that close to you is completely unacceptable--even if you are using dialup or something.

Your second or third hop should never be more than 100ms.
