need hosting for tiny site

i was using atbhost before (and was really happy with them tbh; i loved their file manager) but now that they've stopped free hosting i need a new host.

i'm not really looking for much 'cause not many people visit anyway (maybe 6-ish? perhaps 0-5 visitors a day) so something along the lines of:

  • 30-50mb space (would probably need less if WP used less space, lol)
  • 300-500mb transfer
  • php + mysql
  • cpanel preferred but anything that can unload a cpanel backup would be cool too.
  • no ads
  • a short subdomain really preferred
  • not really interested in post2host
  • i don't really intend to update that often so i need someone who won't boot me for inactivity (like not logging into my panel often enough or something)
  • most importantly i need longevity. sort of tired looking for hosts all the time, lol.

i'm hoping this isn't too much to ask for from a free host

I can offer you 500 MB space and 2000 MB transfer on one of my paid servers - if you'd be willing to add a text link to your main page in return. I offer this because you said you were tired of looking for hosts, so I won't steer you to my free hosting services. If you interested, just send me a PM. This would be a paid hosting server separate from our free hosting sites - and it would have cPanel with all the bells and whistles and ability to import your backups. Just let me now.

If you don't go with jphilipson's offer, follow the link on my signature. I'm sure I can take care of your website.

Let me know how this goes. I think if you want longevity, you have to give something back. No one can possibly give things away on a mass scale for no return. Sure, you can do this for tens of thousands of people, but not really for millions or billions. If this were possible, we wouldn't have poverty.

We've been doing this 5 years, and that's because our community helps each other out and gives back to each other. So that's why we've been able to keep hosting for so long. We don't ask very much in exchange to keep your account open, and you can save up as much as you want.

If interested in never having to switch hosts again, give me a shout - mmcgirr at ismywebsite dot com.
