I agree with this. I at one point was like this too. I didn't realize that 250 mbs was a lot. However I have used over that it is still a lot for learning. I got like 4 or 5 sites runnin on like 300 mbs if that.

What if your site were to get bigger and the host denies more space and bandwidth so you lose all your visitors and everything

I would say it depends on how big your site got. I mean if you were hosting a Halo type site, where you now have like 2000 active members and content rich website, then I would agree to go paid, and use ads to help support your hosting.

If you just need to expand from like 50 mb to like 100mb, then I would simply go to a different host, but look into purchasing a domain name so people wouldn't have to keep changing addresses.
