Syncing Contacts on Phone

I am trying to sync phone contacts from an iphone to a windows 8 phone.

I have set up a gmail.com account, set it up on both phones, and sync, but no contacts are appearing on the Windows 8 Phone.

What type of account do I set up on the windows 8 phone?

As far as I know, there are some software that can help you sync contacts and messages from one phone to another, the name of the software is MobileGo ( I am not quite sure), you can use Google to find this software to see whether it can help you or not......
