managed wordpress hosting

What is the feature you need when you are considering a free host?

well? ok I start. (In decending order)

-ftp server
-fast connection
-apache web server
-php/perl/MySQL supported
-friendly costumer services
-high bandwidth(nut not unlimited bandwidth, 2-4 GB is enough for me)

All of that plus domain hosting and no ads (the Internet dream lives on..... :rolleyes:). If their services can be better without a friendly customer service then I'm okay with that too.

+ ability to upload 5mb files in one piece [for a good reason]
+ legal mp3 allowed [for a good reason]
 
I'd like:

No file size limits
Unlimited Bandwidth(doesn't exist)
Unlimited File Transfer(doesn't exist)
Unlimited Space(doesn't exist)
FREE domain registering and domain hosting(shouldn't exist)
A pro to build my site for me 4 free(doesn't exist)
No file extensions limit
Allows me to store warez, mp3s etc.(shouldn't exist unless you go to a warez host)
No ads(very important)
FAST(super important)
FTP and browser uploading(will be great)
No terms and conditions(can store anything I want, that's GREAT)
Allows me to hotlink(doesn't exist for a good host)
Give me subdomain forwarding to other URLs.

Does this exist?

I don't even think paid hosting has all those features!
For me, I'd like ftp, 20 mb, and no ads.

Dedicated hosting doesn't even have all those features :D
 
god....give him a break! his a newbie for cryin out loud, he doesnt know wat to expect from hosting companies

someone has to pay for registration

No terms and conditions - that would be wild wild west

free regestration after the $15 setup fee :rolleyes:
 
What I look for:

Reliability and stability
Fast Server
FTP
no ads or user-placeable ads
decent bandwidth
Good customer service

(and depending on what web site I am designing, CGI is nice!)

The thread starter asked what would I like from a free host, not asking whether this will exist.
