One: I can do what I want to do when I need to do it, without a rental.
Two: It is safer.
Three: Large amount of cargoes, such as 8 suitcases and a 160qt cooler, can all be stored inside the vehicle along with 6 people sitting comfortably. The suitcases won't be wet, and when I get to the hotel, all my belonging will be DRY.

GET IT STRAIGHT! There is not enough room for luggage plus people in a carolla/sophia/focus/taurus/ whatever the heck you drive thats a small car. So your only choice is a luggage rack on the TOP OUTSIDE of your car, which was mentioned WAY earlier in this thread. IF IT RAINS everything is SOAKED. OK?

For the rest of us who drive solo 90% of the time (read: groceries, school, work, whatever) there is no need to be able to fit 6 people + suitcases (lol).
