Every now and then an .avi file wont work. It plays without an error popping up, and the audio is there, but the actual video is a big blur of randomish colours, mostly green (it looks very...much..glitch-ish).
maybe the video player is not that good..i use a software called vlc at http://videolan.org to play my video files.One good thing about this player is that you don;t need to install the codecs to play the files
have a go if it's still the way it is then i've got no idea
