I am interested to know what the best free hosts are...

Are there any hosts that give a larger block of space
transfer, no add

Are there any hosts with no ads at all

The fact that they're no longer offering free hosting kind of eliminates that, wouldn't you say?

they never stopped offering it, they just don't accept new signups...any ad free host still sucks though.

If a host isn't accepting new sign ups, then it is no longer offering that service. It's still available to old users; but no longer available for anybody else.

I think they'll be going down very soon, anyway...

I doubt it too. Read f2s's faq page to see why.

F2s is good because they offer paid hosting to cover the costs. They found that they probably ran out of money to increase their free webspace signups, so they temporarily shut them down.
