Hi guys, I wanted to know which are the good resellers plans out there now. i had been looking around but still can't find a host yet. maybe i just not sure of how it works. can any of you help me out in this. i need all you details of setting up a web host. mainly targeting locally at my area.

Darius, take a look at <<I SPAM FORUMS.COM>> They always have someone on the phone, so give them a call if have any particular questions. Nice people too - no groaning or moaning! :)

I don't think people are going to post a step-by-step 'How to become a host' tutorial for you. I suggest reading as much as you can. Here, all the forums, at http://www.webhostingtalk.com , at http://www.sitepoint.com (plus any others you can find).

http://www.Recellar.com is another place that caters specifcally to resellers.

The 'best' depends on the features you want to offer, and the type of host you'll need for your purposes. If there was only one host that met everyone's requirements, everyone would be using them (and the others would be closed).

There are different types of reseller plans, on different platforms, levels of support, etc...........

Chicken's right there. It would be nice to have the top 10 steps to becoming a webhost, but the truth of the matter is there's a lot of little details. webhostingtalk has over 56000 posts (and sitepoint a lot more I think). Both are a wealth of information. It's also an industry that changes daily and the bar raised at a moments notice. A continual learning experience... very rewarding most of the time though.

If I had to cram everything into one sentence, it would be research *everything*, and treat your customers right. If you nail those two, everything else tends to fall into place a little easier.

Forums are probably your best bet to find a good reselling host too. Generally speaking a host active in discussions is usually more helpful to their resellers, as they've already shown an interest in communicating their knowledge to others without obligation...

What Chicken and akashik have said really sums it all up, and it's research and persistence in finding answers that will allow you to benefit more.
