Go with the new one, except that the new one and old one are very plain. Use more images if you can.

Edit the templates. Maybe add a few small smilies or icons to each update.

@ PS2 guy: LOL, maybe because you have your homepage set to that site in your profile... Had your IQ tested recently???

And as far as the design is concerned, it's... errrrr ... very red
I'd prefer to see a different background colour for the text (plain white preferably). It would be easier on the eyes and the contrast would be far more attractive IMHO.
