A fairly recent variation of the personal home page is the web blog. Search for two things: a definition of blog and blogs about food and eating. Use at least two different search engines and examine the ways in which the result differ.

A blog is short for weblog. A weblog is just an online journal. For some good blogs try searching google, or try these blog sites:

• http://www.livejournal.com
• http://www.diaryland.com
• Or you could try BlogSnob (see below.)

BlogSnob is some form of blog advertising service. Go to the site, look under "Sample" in the top right hand corner- that's a blogsnob ad. Refresh the page and it changes... blog links galore!
