cgi or php?

stop saying that php is faster and easier
its not the language, its the script !!!!!!!!!
the performence of mod_perl (not CGI) and PHP (not CGI) is the same !
maybe PHP is easier then PERL and this is why there more "big" PHP boards then Perl boards.....


btw -
1) I talk on performence on APACHE on a Unix server
2) I dont compare ASP cuz its just sux ! (100% ASP can only be run on microsoft server that crashes every second, and very slow)
3) I program only in PHP, not perl so dont think that im saying this cuz I "love" perl.....

i know that ikonboard can use mysql to make it more efficient, but its still uses cgi... would it be better to go with a php forum like phpbb2?

That I agree. But that something good also can be defined in many ways, and ppl might argue that its also a script.
