Do you offer domain hosting? And if so, will we get email addresses at our domain?

Also, for that 450mb account. I understand that a button is necessary to prove that the content is yours. I checked out the button and it contains something which I do not wish to show to my users. Is it okay if I prove the authenticity by inserting some text instead?

I also noticed that you guys are going to charge for FTP... That sucks. :(
Will the evaluated hosting plans include FTP access? It seems to say so on your post.

the answers to your questions are denoted in bold. however, the previous use of bold text wasn't an answer.. but you're a bright lad, i'm sure you figured that one out ;)

  • aww.. but i love that button so much :( apparently no one could make out the bath tub in the last *sniffle* ok.. that wasn't what you asked, and yes - text links are totally acceptable.
  • secondly.. i read through my post again and couldn't find anything about charging for ftp.. the only mention that there is of it is on the site itself. truth be told, our host only gave us a very small number of ftp sub accounts, and thats why we include them only with the evaluated plan. they are available with the other plans, as is dedicated mySQL/cgi-bin and additional space.. following payment. but you knew that..
  • i'm looking into the domain situation. again. i'll speak to burrell regarding the matter. he knows some stuff. we're professionals.. honest :normal2:

I currently have a forum that is pretty active and constantly growing. (However, not all the sections are shown until you sign up. So it might look less busy when viewing the boards as a guest.) You can find it at http://coolin.koolplace.com/boa/

We're going to buy a domain and then build a site alongside the forums. However, our site has not yet been started. It should start pretty soon.

Dang, I guess 100 uniques/day not enough. :(

If you look at how hacked up the board is, it shows knowledge of HTML. ;)
Same with the image manipulation. ;)

I'll see when the site is done.

I currently have a host, so I don't need to move to InvisionFree. (InvisionFree also lacks a ton of features, eg. using your own skins.) But I'm afraid my host might get mad if I eat too much of their bandwidth, which is why I was interested in your hosting service.

But yeah... Ok, case closed.

lol. no - there was one before you. that was a chinese submission. what i don't get is.. why doesn't anyone ever read the guide lines? or the acceptable use policy? i mean.. you asked me if you could post pornographic material on the server :| i'm thinking.. no. and for EVERYONES BENEFIT, forums are NOT websites. they are forums. hence the name. digital-bath.com is a site.. forum.digital-bath.com is a forum. with me so far?

and expanding on the everyones benefit thing.. YOU NEED 2,000+ unique hits/day to qualify for the evaluated hosting!! :| does anyone not understand why it's the best option and the hardest to get?

..because it takes some skill and perserverance *sp* to get it :)

it doesnt get anywhere near that.. but seeing as we only have a restricted number of ftp sub accounts, we want to make sure that the people that we give the accounts to will make good use of it. this said, the guy that just applied for 'plus' has 1740745 hits. since the end of last year. :|

[edit] acidmist? 450+ hits and they'll give you a domain if you slap a banner on your site? please.. anyone who actually goes with that should be shot :) [/edit]
