I gotta disagree with LeX on this one. Flash, PhotoShop, any graphic-related program is best learned with a strait forward hands on experience. With a few tutorials to give you tips and in the process learn some program functions.
Yeah, of course, but I'm telling her to get a book to see what features it's got, how to work it and stuff. Sometimes a book just explains it better than tutorials. Books usually go deeper, and is more detailed. They also tell you how to do it, and give you images that shows what happens when you do it. That's why I'm telling her to get a book.
Me, actually, I don't like books. We took pooter lessons a few semesters ago, and there was this textbook on how to use Notepad and junk like that, and there's A LOT of CRAP, so I'm assuming that all books are like that. Correct me if I am wrong.
I like to experiment with the software, and learn from trial and error. Everything I have done is based on this idea, including tests.

I "experiment" with the little
quizzes, study all my answers (usually wrong), and then memorize the correct answers and try to get better marks on the
exams. Works most of the time.
