Do you mean co-brand?
No. Moonman works for Vonetwork and gets a free account which he presumably isn't going to use all the resources on and so is giving out space.

Reliability we have.
Abusers we have no tolerance for.
I figure that this is the only way to keep them at bay and away from this. Because everyone has to PM me, i know who the abuser is, and i will tell everyone here.

Also all accounts are now gone, if you didn't get a reply, i'm sorry, but then that means that you didn't get an account.

Well, the funny part is that you threat not just the abusers, but also the innocent users who might pay for abusers' wrong doings. Like, if one guy in town does a crime, all population goes to prison including him. Doesn't make much sense now, does it? And it certainly doesn't attract customers, when they can lose everything because of one moron whose only goal is to cause trouble. :D

But as I said, good luck. ;)

Because
a) vonetwork.net is the paid part of www.vonetwork.com.
b) I work for vonetwork.net/.com so i get space and transfer that i can use.
c) I'm not using it all so i am giving out free accounts.
d) vonetwork.net is on a much better server than vonetwork.com and it is more reliable, reason being is it is going to host paying customers.
e) I could charge people and make money with my space, but i know what it is like looking for hosting, and well, this is my way of giving back to the community. :)

Well if you ask me it does, it will stop abusers, and all the other customers abusing the service. Makes sense to me.

And it certainly doesn't attract customers, when they can lose everything because of one moron whose only goal is to cause trouble.

Well i guess i should have made myself clearer. No one will lose their files straight away, except for the abuser. I will give all other accounts either
a) Two weeks notice to get all of their files
and possibly
b) Tell my why i shouldn't stop my hosting.

If i get good reasons from them, then, well, we will see what happens.

But of course, only hosting 4 people the margin for abuse is low.
 
As I said, someone could just come and abuse your services for one purpose only: to make you cancel other people accounts. His goal completed, and you being foolish doing that. Get it? :)
 
unfortunately, I didnt get an account. :( . But i do have a question for moonman and notnamed.. Vonetwork's site has a space for free hosting, in it's shared hosting link.. Is vonetwork planning to reopen free singups anytime soon? Also, I thought vonetwork hosted all it's sites at NAC. Is this not true for free sites too?

I don't know if those prices are correct, it may just be filler until Nirosh [the admin of VONetwork] gets real prices up. And I'm pretty sure free accounts are at NAC too...if you click on the Network footer link on the vonetwork.com page it takes you to a NAC page, http://www.nac.net/networkmap.asp
 
Ponder on 2 things.
Historically, people who aren't free-spoiled don't mind long addresses. Example: GeoCties when they used "Neighborhoods."
Secondly, you can always use cjb or a similar cloaking, short-URL service for long URLs.

Okay, the point of this post. I'm sick and tired of people always complaining about the fact that the URL is too long. It's FREE dangit, it's not costing you a SINGLE CENT! Get OVER it! Just get a free redirection service and block the long URL out of sight and mind! Mkay?? Long URLs != bad.
 
Also, in this particular case the host supported the use of your own domain, and all the accounts had gone anyway at the time Stardew asked the question.

True, but as i said, i could change my mind to cancel everyone's accounts. Also as i said above with only 4 accounts the space for abuse is low.

Anyways mod's close this thread as the offer has finished.
