I've been using RUNBOX for about a week now for my email and I thought I'd just let yas know how good the free service is. And no, I have nothing to do with the company. http://www.runbox.com

Cheers
Jonny

Yes! Looks good. Webmail works great too!
Thanks for the URL. I have been looking this kind of a service. :)

Yay! I needed a new email addy and now I got a cool one, idiotbox@runbox.com :D.

Idoit...! :p

Do they have spam preventing options? Not like it works or anything... it failed to work for me with Yahoo!Mail and Mail.com Those damn spammail keeps on coming in my Inbox, and the Junk Mail folder has been empty ever since it was activated.

No, that's not what I meant.... argh, *makes mental note to myself* I ought to be more specific the next time I post...

I wuz talking about preventing SPAMMERS, not the email provider's emails (you can usually choose not to recieve anything from them). You know... the messages that goes "Dr. YourName PhD can be YOURS now!..." and "CALL 1-888-VIAGRA1 FOR YOUR FREE SAMPLE!!!!!" etc. THOSE kinda letters...

An email service providing 100 megs would be slow. When people start to know about them, they're gonna be slower than Crosswinds before they had ads.

But they're FAST now! Yeah, I suppose they will slow down once they get lots of users... let's hope they stop registration soon! :p

If they're dumb enough to offer 100megs with no ads, they're probably not smart enough to stop registration and upgrade their servers.

I signed up for an account and spent quite a bit of time forwarding stuff I wanted to keep and organizing it into folders. Then, it all disappeared. A few hours later it reappeared, but all back in the inbox. I've gotten quite a few errors trying to login, too. It's a nice idea, but it has a few glitches yet. There's another one, at http://www.e247.com that gives that much space. It does have ads, though, which might be a good thing in the long run.

e247 was veeryy slow for me. Also it was down about half the time. No POP there.

Try
mobile.runbox.com
It's a light version of runbox.com for mobile users. Really plain and cannot be any lighter. I like.

I got some errors too, mostly when I tried sending multiple attachments. Hopefully it'll get better. I don't know if it is just a coincidence but I've had no errers when using the mobile version (with normal browser IE5.5 of course)

You get 100 MB of space for storing email - and soon you'll get even more!
Even more space soon? Woah... if these guys were offering free webspace.. :)
from runbox letter
You get a clean, stylized user interface with everything you need - and nothing you don't. Unlike many other free email services on the Internet, runbox mail is not swathed in ads, promotions, banners or pop ups.
But for how long? Hopefully, forever, of course. :D

You get to send larger attachments than with any other free email provider on the market - up to 10 MB in size.
Cool. Now the only problem left is the max file size the reciever can get. This guy tried to send me a 3MB file once to my Mail.com account, but Mail.com denied it and I just got a notice from Mail.com that somebody tried to send me a 3MB letter but I didn't recieve it 'cause the size is too big. I'm like WTF?! So I haven't been using Mail.com for a long time now.

ohhh.. i guess a find this thread a lil too late.. now they're only offering one week trials and you have to pay 30 bux a year afta that... oh well... good ol hotmail is still good..

Could try http://www.myrealbox.com . It's not like 100 MB without ads, but 10 MB without ads is still nice, especially when it's been stable a lot longer.
