Ok... I got this from the vB codes explained page... So here it is! Remember that I changed the ] to } and [ to { because this forum might think that I am actually using URL's.

If vB Code is enabled in a forum, you do not need to use the code to create a hyperlink. Simply... DO need quotation marks inside the url tags.

In your signature you need to do that, but in messages you just type the url like this http://www.freewebspace.net
At the page where you submit a new post there is a checkbox titled 'Options-Automatically parse URLs'. By default it is already checked, so you don't need to do anything to automatically hyperlink a url in your message.
