Ideas for Mother's Day gift?

I want to get my mom a special gift for Mother's Day, especially since we live 5 hours away from each other and I won't be able to see her. Does anyone have any good gift ideas? She's a typical mom, but she doesn't like "pampering" stuff and she is not a big reader. BTW she is in her early 50s.

Yes Is there? according to me, you can gift a dinner on mothers day for your mom, or gift vouchers, household items, home furnishings, apparels, but according to me best gift is a dinner, going whole family together, this will make your mom very happy. For more gift ideas please refer below link, i once purchased from this site a gift voucher, it is a nice one.

EDIT - Im a twat forgot that we celebrate at different times!

You might take her out, for dinner. Do something you both like, or you could remind each other off. Watch a film or go to the cinema.

My mum is 60, she grew up in Aberdeen and Scotland, surrounded by Victorian / Edwardian houses, we were looking through a catalogue a couple of years ago ( same company do childrens dolls houses ), and she said one of the houses reminded her of childhood, so we figured it would be a good present ... they aren't cheap ( they are in comparison to a real victorian house ), but she'll get years of pleasure out of it, and probably hand it down to one of our children in the future ... we got her http://www.dollshouse.com/dhe/product-dolls-house.aspx?house=classical and the basement that goes with it ... she loves it ...

Just be there if you can, it's usually enough, it's mothers, you know what they're like :wink2:

Love Joes, got mine a lilliput lane harbour, the full village one sort of the same lines, it's a Scottish harbour we were brought up in a west coast Scottish harbour so :)

That's an excellent gesture Joe. Great idea.

I am a mum and I would love a gym membership! Beats a dozen roses anytime

Plant her a nice windowsill herb garden. Most mothers tend to appreciate a professional massage, or some good memories. You could round up a bunch of old pictures and put them into a book for her.
