Issue with email deleting from phone after downloading in outlook

I have an issue that I noticed recently where my emails are deleting automatically from my windows 8 phone, once I have downloaded them from Outlook.

I cant find the setting to see if delete from server is enabled or not, or if there is one. I know there used to be.

For anyone familiar with both Windows 8 Phone and Outlook, how I can stop it from deleting from my phone when I download into outlook?

If they're actually deleting from your phone, and not just not being downloaded, you are probably using IMAP (instead of POP3), and the account is being synced across all devices.
