What would i like:

FTP, [and yes you have guessed it PHP AND 1 MYSQL].
150mb + space
1gb + b/w
I will place a banner (only) on my home page.

What do you need it for?

I want to start a website to allow people to download my custom dvd covers and labels. I also need a forum so that users can request covers to be made and placed online.

Arn't custom covers of films still in the cinema illegal?

Not at all! It is just a 'quest' of my own to design a cover for up coming movie and to see how close mine is to the orginal when it comes out. It is only illegal if people actully download warez (WHICH I DO NOT OFFER!) and to print off and sell the 'custom' titles. I do not agree with pirate AKA warez software!

You said 'print off' is to print off your covers illegal?

Nope! As long as you dont sell them!

Alreadly looked at that, huh? Somehow that is very doubtful because we have several accounts that would more than meet those specifications ranging from 250 MB to 1500 MB web space.

The best recommendation would be our 250 MB Silver account for the specifications you are asking which would give you an extra 100 MB and 10 times the bandwidth you are asking.

(Alternatively, you could go with the smaller 100 MB Bronze account but I wouldn't recommend that since you said you want to have download files
and the Bronze account is more restrictive on file types.)

Tell me something, why in the world did you write your email address
like you did above? Are you wanting to be spammed or something?
You may not realize this but you actually just INCREASED your
chances of getting your email address placed on a spammer mailing list
by doing that ...

The idea that you can write "(at)","-at-", or "AT" in place of "@" to hide
email addresses from spam bots is a VERY WRONG misconception
and anyone doing that is actually making themselves more a target !!!!

In fact, most spam bots these days are programmed to specifically
look for these sort of breakup tags and automatically interpret them
back into their original email addresses. The same goes for all the
morons out there who think that encoding their email addresses with
a Javascript encoder slows down spam bots. Sorry but the spam
bots a bit smarter than that.

I'm a network security expert working over 24 years in that specific
field and I can tell you first hand that you are wasting your time
putting "(at)" whatever in your email address. You won't slow the
spam bots down for even a moment doing that and you will actually
draw more attention to yourself from the spam bots.

My best recommendation is that you do not post your email address
in any kind of public place unless your email address is equipped with
excellent spam protection.

However, if you must post your email address as you did above, then the
best way (and the only way at the moment) to fool the spam bots is to
breakup the email address with non-visible HTML tags and hyperlinks
instead of word seperators like you are using ....

View source on this page and see the example below:

support@clubhost.us

Unlike what you did in your message, most spam bots are currently
incapable of reading what I did to the address above although I am
sure they will find a way to eventually get that to work with the
bots as well.

Oh well, you couldn't get your FTP program to work for the site. FTP is working perfectly, I do not see why you couldn't, but hope you enjoy the other host you found.

Mystery250, I'm kind of coming in mid conversation on this but if
I am following correctly, you setup zombie021 with a hosting account
and he is having problems with FTP even though the account is
actually working properly on your end?

If so ....

I would say there is about a 95% chance that zombie021 has a firewall,
proxy, or router of some sort setup on his end and failed to set his
FTP client program to PASSIVE MODE.

If you are running any kind of firewall, you must run FTP in "PASSIVE MODE".
Failure to do that can cause your firewall to misinterpret the outbound FTP
connection as an incoming hacker attack and shutoff the ports.

The symptoms of this problem are that you can connect but your FTP
freezes up and / or disconnects when you try to transfer any files.
