My Realtek RTL8029(AS) PCI Ethernet Adapter ... is dead?

I think it's dead. In Win2K is says:

This device is no longer functioning properly and may need to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer of this device for assistance.

:crysad:

Don't trust Win 2k ! :p
Unistall the drivers take out the card and put it back again. And then check what win 2k says.

Don't 100% trust everything Windows says... it often says that certain drivers and/or .DLLs are missing even though they're right there

Na, it's not dead. :)

For some reason, when I "hibernate", then turn the computer back on the network card comes up with that error.

So now I shutdown in stead of hibernating. So much slower boot-up. :(

But it's still alive!

:D

Then use the energy saver. Turn off the hard disks, and turn off your monitor, printer, speakers, etc as well.
