Need info on how to make my own web-hosting service

Ok, here is what i want to do:

I want to make my own web hosting service which can include ASP, PHP, CGI, Perl, SSI, SSH, MySQL, MsQL.

Basically, features everything which everyone needs

I have a server about 80GB space, and a T3-dual line

I want to make it free but must include banners, bottom banners

How can i obtain the resources to make the web so people could register and edit their web via the control pannel

and also...how would i install PHPs and all these functions on my server

Use Linux

What's the hardware you plan on using for this? RAM, CPU, HD interface, etc.

yeah, try linux. it is more realible and has better up time than windows.

Be careful and plan our our host, most FWP's fail or lose money. Try not to be one of them.

use linux.. specifically the redhat distribution is the most commonly used http://www.redhat.com

or if you want a more robust environment for hte purpose, use FreeBSD http://www.freebsd.com

I would stick with a linux-dist that you feel comfortable setting up and working with.

For me, i've got a P166/64Ram server running for the dsl-routing for my home-network.
I've set up an (Got this from netcraft.com)
Apache/1.3.17 (Unix) PHP/4.0.4pl1 mod_perl/1.25, mod_ssl/2.8.0, OpenSSL/0.9.6. I run SuSE 7.0 with a pretty much standard network-oriented install. http://www.suse.de & .com

You also might want to check http://www.linux.com .org etc.

But also consider that i've set this up as an experimental/devel-setup, and with almost everything i've got compiled in as modules for apache and only have a very few (around 4-5 develsites up) for experimenting.

It took about 4 working days to get all set up.
