PHP Question

If I wanted to make PHP search my site, how would I do it, (Not how to search a database, I know that)...

For example, could you make a while statement to list all the files in a directory, then open each one and use some command like str_replace but instead, finds it Or could you make it str_replace what your searching for and make it just say the same thing with an <a name="name"> tag</a>

strstr() should do it.

As for searching all the files, your best bet would be to have an index of all the files to be searched, then fopen each, and strstr them for the search.
