i'm trying to write in DSN www.phpbb.com but nothing...help guys

Haven't we already gone through this twice before?

It's localhost or 127.0.0.1 if you prefer.

nothing...:(((

yesterday somehow i loaded that installation, but now...i dont remember how i did it.Any more advices???Mayve tripod have not support on SQL 3.x ? :(

The DNS name should be localhost and tripod.co.uk does support MySql 3.x so there shouldn't be any problems with that. Perhaps you could look around at the forum of Phpbb2 and look for help there ?

no, localhost is't good

what i should type in these fields:

Database Username:
Database Password:

server port: 80
Domain Name: members.lycos.co.uk
maybe anybody could install it for me??? :) i would be thankful

if i remember correctly, you leave the password field blank and the username would be something like:

username_uk_db

or

uk_username_db

I'm not certain, but the lycos help files help a lot.

i need fast forum and web provider...

phpbb2 is plenty fast, the host isn't.

You can't complain if your receiving something for free.

Because Tripod is slow.

Well, tripod is not that slow when you load a forum page.
I loaded his page in 2 seconds.

And Actually, I don't think installing a forum is a good idea. There is no way that you can get many people to discuss stuff there.

It will only finally end up as a support forum with 1-10 posts:(

Well let me rephrase that then. It's slow from here.
