Problems with DLL - Can any one help?

My sys is running under Windows Millenium. Everything's fine and all of a sudden, i am unable to see the preview(Thumbnail) and execute (By DoubleClicking or by Pressing Enter ) any .htm or .html file. When i select a html file, A error message is being displayed as follows:

Explorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL.
Explorer will now close.

If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.

So, what should i do? I've downloaded MSHTML.DLL from
www.dll-files.com and replaced with the one in my C:\Windows\System. But still no result. I dont know how the error popped up. I've scanned C:\ drive with Norton AntiVirus but does not found any virus like activity.

If i open internet explorer and open any html file using File->Open, I am able to see the html page in the internet explorer.
Any solutions?

Have you tried re-installing ME over ME?

Have you tried going back to one of the last restore points?

Also, instead of downloading system dll files from some site it's a lot better to just restore the dll from your installation CD.

Restoring to an earlier point does not solve.

I've got the solution. I've uninstalled my IE v6.0 and installed IE v5.0 and it works!!!! :biggrin2:
