good design
have a different color for your links.
some of the text is bold as well as the links.
that can be confusing. visitors have to hover mouse over the links to findout what is a link and what is not.
use different color for headings

For akalan.co.uk-
The fonts used in the menu bar and headings are a little hard-to-read.
I also agree with antispyware's comment about the link colours, I do not appreciate having to hover over text trying to work out what's a link and what isn't.
The rounded corners look grainy (in Safari).

Also, there are lots of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
"You're" appears as "your" at least three times...

Thanks for commenting i will change the links and stuff, i have tried to get the rounded corners nice and sharp but i can seem to get that effect any tips??

Make the corners 'tighter', that is to start the rounding closer to the corner. Should be easy to do if you used a rounded box in Fireworks/Photoshop to create your corner images...

No doubt a creative design, but might need changes in the header color. Brighten it !
