These people claim to offer free domains.

They seem to provide free domains for a banner.
I have come across many such, but everything requires posting, or getting high trafiic, but this one seems to be easy.

Have anybody used their service?

The catch is that you do not get control over the domain, its only a redirection. For example:

If you get the domain: testing123.com with them, you wont actually be able to use that domain at a host, you would still have to use a subdomain, so when someone puts in your URL (testing123.com) they will be redirected to: longurl.hosting.com, and all further links will be that, rather than testing123.com.

So you would have no DNS control over the domain at all.

Oh my goodness, thanks for that advice.
If I tried to register my domain name with them, then I can never get it for myself even if I am willing to pay for it!

I don't understand the advantage to registering with fanku.net or why anyone would even consider using them.
