tripod charges $9.90 for extra 1GB transfer

Hi all,

Just want to let you guys know that tripod has a "plus" service now which gives 25MB and 3GB transfer. For extras, you pay $24.75 for 250MB space, and $9.90 for 1GB transfer.

I just don't know how they compete with the hosting companies.

That's pretty insane! You could get 20 GB with Tera-byte.com for 1 month and still have 65 cents left over. Crazy Stuff...

thats pretty good for us UK users....


Webfusion charge 5p per MB to resellers ... thats £50 per GB

The almighty Tripod has cut their free hosting space offer to 20 mb as well! Oh man, what's next, is Crosswinds going to stop offering unlimited webspace for free?

and 23 USD is around 41 dollars Canadian!!
