yeah Just install Wine and follow this tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLRLWEfdFqY to install windows application on Ubuntu.
Although most of the application can run under Ubuntu using WINE, but it is not recommended.
You will not get the real performance of the application if your run it using WINE. And you will find that it won't work properly most of the time.
It is best if you seek for an FOSS alternative which is similar to the application you are using.
