Zopim is what we use and if not the best than close because I haven't found any better for the price. With Zopim you can see who is currently visiting your website live and even initiate the chat. Plus once a week they send you the records for the chats and agents via email and also the visitor stats for your website that week.

I don't like any hosted solutions live chat. I would say the best one is Kayako, simple and really does the work. I don't see why hosted livechat software charges you per agent.

LiveZilla:

- it's actively developed/updated
- helpful/fast technical support via email, live chat and forums
- it's desktop and web based. I much prefer desktop clients to web based clients for answering chats.
- wide array of features and options

It's not free, although the pricing is, in my opinion, fairly reasonable.
