Connecting a domain to forum?

Hello,

I currently run a free forum hoster on www.easyforumz.com

I have had many people ask how can they get their domain connect to their hosted forum?

Their forums are www.easyforumz.com/ACCESSNAME for example http://easyforumz.com/familyguytalk/ is it possible? Not a simple re-direct the proper thing.

Nope, I believe the only way to do it is to have a forward thing, or they can make a huge iFrame on their website that contains the forum in it

If you have cpanel (and WHM) you can do a domain add-on and then point their domain to the directory under easyforumz.com (like familyguytalk) and cpanel will add an entry in the httpd.conf.

I don't know, if you could modify that, it could be of some use to you.

edit: My bad, noticed it'll probably be of little use to him - other than the rewrite part in httpd.conf.

Yeah, you could try using .htaccess mod_rewrite.

If their domain register has stealth redirection they could use that option. It would mask their ugly sub domain and load their forum in an iframe with their TLD always displaying
