could you please check out www.e8o.com and let me know what you think of it. No more default IBF skin either. The whole of the shop is coming soon and newsletters probably even sooner. Does anybody know any good mailing list managers? What do you think of the site? Any improvements or suggestions? If you own a fansite and want to gain exposure- give me a shout

I guess if it does look kind of MTV-ee it's because it's a style which works. Which MTV site are you talking about btw? Or just in general?

mtv'ee in general, im sure ive seen that 45 degree chopped (corner) box somewhere on an mtv site.

Depends what resolution you view it at

It's a known fact that if the content area is too wide it makes it harder to read and it also fits in all resolutions (yes, I know there is the horizontal scroll at 800x600 but you don't miss anything )
