Hi,
I'm sorta looking for a decent host. When I say decent, I mean decent uptime, with decent availability, etc. I've been trying a couple of free hosts so far and I know I shouldnt be complaining but they dont seem to last long or they simply have too much timeouts.
Forum posting is fine with me (hopefully not too much to start with). I hope I dont have to have any ads on my page (perhaps allow mine instead?)
The following are my basic requirements:
Space: 100mb to start with
Bandwidth: Not fixed. (Maybe 1GB as a start? Doubt I'd be using as much too. At least, not yet)
Language: Mostly in English, one or two lines in other languages is okay I hope.
MySQL: 10 (I can deal with 5 as a start)
PHP Support: Yes
FTP Support: Yes
Email Accounts: At least 5
CPanel, etc: Not necessarily, I upload most of my things.
Okay. I guess I should add a little on what is the page about. Basically, I'm working on a VB based MySQL front (not sure when will it complete or should I say, will it ever complete) and planning to host it on the page when I'm done. I'm testing out Ajax (I use Xajax framework to test it out) every now and then and I'm planning on trying to publish an Ajax based search script soon (I hope it wont take that long -- estimated time: 3 months to 6 months).
I have had an idea of creating an Ajax webmail client as well, if you can provide me with PHP with IMAP extension, it would be a plus. I can always find another way to get around this if it's not available. Most of the stuffs I "plan" to do will be based on my own free time so there's no telling if it'll be completed soon or it will ever complete. I guess here's where I would say, the risk is yours to take (if you're planning to do somewhat an investment on me).
The guaranteed return from me is a text link on the footer of all my page "Proudly sponsored by Your Host".
If anyone think they can provide me with such a thing, please do not hesitate to pm me or post a reply to this thread. Thanks in advance and sorry for taking too much of your time reading this. Cheers!
